This week we are reading 1 Corinthians chapters 12-16.
Chapter 13 is the classic section about the preeminence of love. There is some great material here and many wedding ceremonies have used excerpts from this passage.
For today's thought, however, I want to highlight 1 Corinthians 13:11 which is often overlooked.
"When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things."
Looking back at your own teenage years, what is something you stopped doing when you became a mature adult? Now for the harder question; what is something you are still doing today that you need to stop doing?
Being a mature person isn't always as fun as being a kid, but it's what God is calling us to be. It's interesting how some things change as we get older, and how some things stay the same.
