Starting in July, my weekly blog post will highlight a chapter devotion from the Books of 1 and 2 Samuel. The goal will be to draw out various lessons from the lives of Samuel, King Saul, and King David. Each chapter devotion will provide a reading, short quiz, video, and handout. I think we will find that modern readers can learn a great deal from Israel's transition from a discordant tribal system to a united kingdom hierarchy.
