STAND-UP FOR FAITH
This particular series is designed to provide an ongoing, comedic commentary on the attitudes and actions of the people presented in 1 and 2 Kings. This devotion is not intended to poke fun at Scripture or the underlying message presented within. Instead, my goal is to show how the characters of the Old Testament are not so different from the people of today. As humans, we regularly make decisions that are truly hilarious when viewed from the right angle.
As we chuckle at the antics of others, I hope we realize the silliness of our own behaviors. And perhaps the insights we gain from this devotion will lead us to take appropriate action in our own lives. We are called to stand up for faith, follow Jesus, and reject the selfishness that lives in our hearts. And I think we can do this with a smile on our face.
