If you accept Jesus Christ as your savior, you are part of a large, diverse family of fellow believers. We often forget this.
The key to reminding yourself of this truth, and to make it meaningful, is to show your familial care and support of other Christians. One way members of a modern family provide for each other is by giving encouragement and prayer. So today, send a short, encouraging text message to a spiritual brother, sister, mother, and father. Yes, you should send four texts to four fellow Christians. Just make sure the text is short and encouraging.
For example, you can send something like this. "Felicity, I was reminded this morning that those who follow Jesus are all part of the same family. I'm so glad you are my spiritual sister. May you feel God's presence in your life today. Also, let me know if there is anything I can be praying for you. Your brother-in-Christ, Richard."
